He also will be talking about his upcoming book,Your True Self expected in Summer 2006. His book, Stage Fright is being exhibited in 20 trade shows in 2006 from New York to Beijing to London and back again starting in January 2006.

Michael Goode, author, musician, actor, singer, teacher, and stage fright consultant from Chicago (Oak Park) has done talks and workshops on stage fright all over the country at many schools, University of Southern California, U of Wisconsin-LaCrosse (twice), University of Chicago, University of North Texas, Emory University, Georgia State University. Aspen Music Festival, International Trumpet Guild Conference in Denver, Performing Arts Medicine Association, American Federation of Radio and Television Artists in LA (twice), Barnes & Noble Bookstores in New York City, New Jersey, Chicago, Oak Park, the Northwestern campus in the Chicago area, and on the BBC worldwide.  Michael has traveled extensively and his dynamic, yet intimate talks have helped hundreds of people conquer their stage fright and lead productive careers.   He was also a featured speaker at the Spring Trumpet Festival in May 2005 honoring trumpet legends Adolph "Bud" Herseth of the Chicago Symphony and Doc Severinsen of the Tonight Show with Johnny Carson.

Mr. Goode also coaches and teaches performing professionals from major symphony orchestras, jazz, commercial players and professional television and film actors, and dancers across the country.

His goal is to help all performers perform better and to have total control of what they are doing so they can be the best artists they are capable of being in whatever field they are in.  At one workshop in Chicago, Mr. Goode even helped an accountant with his fears about getting tax returns completed on time!   His book, Stage Fright in Music Performance and Its Relationship to the Unconscious, has been a hit with musicians, actors, dancers, public speakers, and anyone who performs. It is a mixture of human- interest stories backed by solid scientific research done for his graduate degree at the Nobel-Prize winning University of Chicago and so is not mere speculation. The touching human stories in the book provide something for everyone to identify with. Don Greene, PhD, (You can visit his site at www.dongreene.com.) author of Fight Your Fear and Win, and Olympic champion diver Greg Louganis’ coach, was a consultant on the book and feels it is “an impressive book.”

Although Mr. Goode can help anyone with their stage fright he particularly enjoys working with actors and musicians as he is a performer himself. He has been a professional actor, voice-over artist and has been on television, radio, and in the movies, As a musician, Mr. Goode plays trumpet with members of the Chicago Symphony at the Ravinia Festival and sings in recital.  He is looking forward to his talks at AFTRA.
